Canada Post has started issuing payments to some employees who are eligible for a pay equity payment. As such, letters from Service Canada are being sent to some current and former Canada Post employees in cases when Canada Post does not have their current data.
If you are questioning the legitimacy of these letters, please be advised that Service Canada is indeed performing this task on our behalf.
If you’re a current or former employee who is likely to be eligible for a payment, you will receive an information package after we have confirmed your address but before you receive your payment. The package contains a letter, booklet and forms that will help you provide the information needed to complete files and move closer to issuing a payment. If you’re a former employee and think that we might not have your current address, please email email@example.com or write to the Pay Equity Team at Canada Post, 2701 RIVERSIDE DR SUITE B-432, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0B1.
While we are pleased to be able to proceed with some initial payments, we are continuing with the complex task of confirming many current and former employees’ eligible service and time records, and contact details. As indicated in previous updates, this process will take time. As addresses and information are finalized and confirmed, we will proceed with payments.
If you feel you may be eligible for a payment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or write to the Pay Equity Team at Canada Post, 2701 RIVERSIDE DR SUITE B-432, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0B1.
